Labor Day Fun!

On Labor day we went with the Cleggs to the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge. It crosses the Missouri River. The bridge starts in Omaha, NE and ends in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It's nickname is "The Bridge to Nowhere" because it literally ends in a Council Bluff neighborhood. It was fun to get out as families (minus Brad) and see some new sights here in Omaha. The Bridge opened about a year ago. It was a beautiful walk and very fun.
The kids had fun watching ferry boats, jet ski's, and people out and about on Labor Day.

We love Omaha and hope that this river front can evolve one day into more of a riverfront city, with cute shops and restaurants along the river...
Here are the kids in NEBRASKA and IOWA!
After we headed downtown to Gene Leahy Mall. We wanted to go down the famous slides. We used wax paper to help with speed. Here is Brooklyn...
Dave and little Mia...
Easton....
Even the "big" kids have fun...
The kids loved feeding the geese and swans...
Then we headed to Surfside Club, an old riverside restaurant. You have to beware of the boaters that drive by with moons out! We enjoyed Surfside's famous FRITTERS, FRIED CHICKEN and CATFISH!
The kids loved throwing fritters into the river and watching the fish eat them up! It was a great day! GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD FOOD, GOOD TIMES!

It is fun to see what you are doing. We went to see what you are doing. We went to Golden Corale and got some lumber to make a grow box for a garden next year. Not quite as exciting. M.E.
