We had a quick drive to Utah for a funeral last weekend. Bruce's Aunt Linda died from brain cancer. We were so sorry to lose her and wanted to show her family our love. So, we packed up the car pulled the kids out of school and headed west. We were happy to see family. The kids loved seeing Grandma and Grandpa Bischoff and all the aunts, uncles and cousins who stopped by. It is so fun to be together. The kids had fun going on a ride up the mountain with Grandpa, playing hide and seek, making aliens, drawing, and staying up late. The next morning we went down to Grandma Johnston's school. She had a neat Magician doing a drug awareness assembly. For those of you who don't know, Easton loves magic and is becoming quite good at it too. We loved meeting the magician and his assistant Chief the mascot for the Utah Blaze.

Back again...
The kids enjoyed playing with the Johnston cousins, Aunts and Uncles! Momo paid for tickets to go see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Thanks Mom! We loved the yummy homemade tacos and late night talks with Mom, Dad, Carly, Ian, Kelsee and Micah. The next morning we were off to the funeral and then turned around and headed home. It was good that the kids slept in the car but we were packed in tight.
We drove all night and made it home at about 5:00 am. We were both physically sick from driving so long and so late! It was nice to talk to Bruce without distractions of computers :), TV or phone calls!
We were sorry we couldn't attend Aunt Betty Hepworth's funeral because hers and Linda's were at the same time. (When it rains...it pours...)She was my Grandma Glo's life long friend and always part of the Johnston family and a sidekick to Glo! We will miss her!
We are now back to the grind, catching up on life and making up all our missed homework :(

Oh wow! I bet you guys were exhausted! What a drive. I'm sure the family appreciated your efforts. That is what is so great about family. Family will do what ever it takes! Now the fun part... Laundry.
